| 1 cup | Basmati rice[washed ] |
| 1 | Big onion sliced lengthwise |
| 2 | Green chillies[slit open] |
| Whole spices[ few fennel seeds,big cardamom, 2 cloves,1 inch cinnamon stick, 1 bay leaf] | |
| ½ T | Cumin seeds |
| 1 T | Ginger garlic paste |
| 1 tsp | Garam masala |
| Salt and oil as per preference | |
| 1 T | Ghee[optional] |
| Corriander and mint leaves [for garnishing] | |
| 2 T | Curd |
| 1½ cup | Water |
| Green peas[handfull] |
Instructions
1.Take a pressure cooker, add oil and ghee[optional]
2.Once when oil is hot enough add the whole spices, jeera, mint leaves, corriander leaves greenchillies and saute well.
3.Now add onions and saute well till translucent.
4.Add ginger garlic paste at this stage and saute till the raw smell disappears.
5.Now add the green peas and saute well.
6.Add garam masala powder, and salt and pour 1 and a half cup of water and add the rice and mix well.
7.Add two table spoons of curd and mix well,,,pressure cook it for one whistle and keep it in sim for 5 minutes and turn off the stove.
8.Once when the cooker is calm release the vent and change the whole content in a serving dish…garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with raitha and chicken gravy.
