Tamarind (lemon size)
Tomatoes-2 (big)
Garlic cloves-6
G.chillies-1(small)
Coriander and curry leaves for garnishing
cumin seeds, black pepper-1/2tsp each
Cumin seeds for tempering-1 tsp
Dhania powder-1/2 tsp

Method

Tamarind should be soaked in 3 cups water and strain pulp.
Grind tomatoes with garlic,g.chillies and mix it with tamarind water.
Temper it with cumin seeds,crushed garlic.

Grind cumin seeds and pepper together coarsely.

Add curry leaves,pepper and cumin mix,dhania powder and bring it to boil in high flame for 15 min.
Serve hot.Goes well with vathal,appalam or any spicy side dish.

Gastric patients may avoid it.
