Ramzan Nonbu Congee (veg)

Description

Fasting in the month of Ramzan is compulsory for every Muslim who has reached the age.There is a meal before dawn, which is called ‘Suhur’.In the evening immediately after the sunset, the Muslim should break his fast which is called ‘Ifthar’, When one of you breaks fast he should do so with some dates, And in our home with the dates we used to break fast with this Conjee and vadai (masala vadai or medhu vadai) and with some fruit juice too.. As this is a month of ramzan and i just want to share with u all. This Conjee is very good for ur stomach. If u have any problem in ur stomach u can have this Congee it will surely give releif. There are many varieties of preparing this Congee, We can  prepare it with meat also.
Ingredients
¾ cup Raw rice (pachai arisi)
¼ cup Moong dal
1½ tsp Fenugreek seeds
½ no Onion chopped
½ no Tomato (chopped)
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
2 no Cloves
1 inch Cinnamon
1 no Cardomen
1 cup Coconut milk (dilute)
Corriander leaves (hand full)
2 nos Green chili (slit open 1 inch)
Salt (as per taste)
Oil ( as per need)

Instructions

Soak rice , moongdhal and fenugreek together in water for 10min.
Take a pressure cooker, add required amount of oil and splutter the spices.
Add the onion and fry till transparent. Add the tomatoes, green chilli , corriander leaves, ginger and garlic paste.
Add the soaked rice, dhal and fenugreek. Add 4 cups of water and close the cooker . Cook for 3 whistle.
After the pressure comes down . Open the cooker and add the coconut milk , As the congee should be watery so adjust the water in congee and  Cook in sim for 10 min. stir continuously
Serve hot .
