Masala rice

Description

maNormal rice spiked with three different spice powders……..
Ingredients
1 Onion (big size) sliced
1 Tomato (big) chopped
1 cup Veggies
2 cup Rice[basmati]
pinch Haldi
½ tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Pao bhaji masala
1 tsp Rajmah masala
1 tsp Chole masala
Salt to taste
1 pinch Kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
2 T Oil
1½ tsp Jeera
2 stks Curry leaves

Instructions

Soak rice. Take oil in a pan, add jeera, after it splutters, add onions, curry leaves and saute till light brown. Add tomato, saute for few minutes. Add veggies (carrot, peas, beans), saute. Add all spice powders, haldi, salt, garam masala and saute. Add drained rice and saute for 2 minutes.

 

 Add water and cook in microwave for 20-25 mts or 2 whistles in cooker.

 Before seving sprinkle some kasoori methi rubbed between the palms. Serve hot with Raita or Dal Makhani.

Notes

Use 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice.

    HI Shalini..looks good , but wat is the substitute for the 3 masalas u have mentioned? i dont have any of it..:(
