Description
Normal rice spiked with three different spice powders……..
Ingredients | |

1 | Onion (big size) sliced |
1 | Tomato (big) chopped |
1 cup | Veggies |
2 cup | Rice[basmati] |
pinch | Haldi |
½ tsp | Garam masala |
1 tsp | Pao bhaji masala |
1 tsp | Rajmah masala |
1 tsp | Chole masala |
Salt to taste | |
1 pinch | Kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves) |
2 T | Oil |
1½ tsp | Jeera |
2 stks | Curry leaves |
Instructions
Soak rice. Take oil in a pan, add jeera, after it splutters, add onions, curry leaves and saute till light brown. Add tomato, saute for few minutes. Add veggies (carrot, peas, beans), saute. Add all spice powders, haldi, salt, garam masala and saute. Add drained rice and saute for 2 minutes.
Add water and cook in microwave for 20-25 mts or 2 whistles in cooker.
Before seving sprinkle some kasoori methi rubbed between the palms. Serve hot with Raita or Dal Makhani.
Notes
Use 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice.
