| 1 cup | Toor dal |
| 1 | Tomato[big sized chopped] |
| 1 | Green chilly[optional] |
| 1 | Medium sized mango chopped |
| pinch | Turmeric powder |

| 1 T | Mustard, fenugreek and cumin seeds |
| pinch | Asafoetida |
| 1 | Onion [medium sized finely chopped] |
| Oil and salt as per need | |
| Curry leaves and corriander leaves( for garnishing) | |
| Dry red chillies(adjust as per ur taste) | |
| 1 T | Ghee [optional] |
Instructions
1. Take a pressure cooker add all the content from ingredient one and pressure cook it till the dal gets cooked completely.
2.Allow the cooker to cool and then open it.You will find dal, mango and tomato cooked.Now mash it completely with wooden masher.
3.Take a pan add oil and then add mustard, cumin, fenugreek and allow the mustard to splutter,now add hing ,curry leaves ,redchilly ,onion and fry till onion turns translucent.
4.Now add the cooked and mashed dal , add salt and water as per need.Allow the content to boil and add a tablespoon of ghee [optional]and turn off the stove.
5.Garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with white rice and potato fry.
Tangy dal is ready.
