Description
Dessert, made with Almonds. Almonds are good for brain and skin.It is good for growing kids.So have it once a week.
Ingredients | |

30 cnt | Almonds (blanched) |
10 cnt | Cashews |
1 litre | Milk |
3 nos | Cardamom |
10 strands | Saffron |
1 tsp | Raw rice(soaked before half an hour) |
2 tsp | Grated coconut(without brown skin) |
Sugar (as required) |
Instructions
TO BLANCH ALMONDS: Soak the almonds in very hot water and peel off the skin after half an hour.

In one cup water put the almonds and heat in microwave for 1 minute.Take them out, strain and pour some cold water.Now you can easily peel the skin.
Grind blanched almonds , cashews,cardamom,saffron,raw rice,grated coconut with little milk .Grind it to a paste.
Pour the paste into a nonstick sauce pan and add half(1/2) liter milk.Let it boil till the raw smell goes away.It will take approximately 12 to 15 minutes.Stir occasionally.After raw smell goes away remove from the flame and add milk (1/2 litre)and sugar. Serve hot or cold.

Dear Kavi, I’m done with my Badam Kheer. The taste was awesome. I just added a pinch of kesari color to get the color of saffron. Waiting for my hubby to give a surprise 🙂 I’m cooling it to refridgerate. Thanx kavi…for ur kheer receipe
