| 2 medium sized potato [boiled and mashed] | |
| 1 tsp | Mustard seeds |
| ½ T | Channa dal |
| ½ T | Urad dal |
| pinch | Asafoetida |
| Few curry leaves | |
| 1 | Onion[big sized finely chopped] |
| 1 no | Green chillies[chopped finely] |
| Corriander leaves[chopped finely] | |
| 4 T | Gram flour (besan) |
| 1 T | Chilly powder[as per individuals preference] |
| 1 T | Corn flour |
| Oil and salt as per need |
Instructions
1. Boil potatoes and mash it well and keep it aside.
2. Take a pan add oil, then add mustard ,channa dal, urad dal and asafoetida,once when mustard splutters, add onion, green chillies, curry leaves and corriander leaves and saute well.
3. Now add the mashed potato and mix well.
4.Make balls out of the potato masala and keep it aside.
5.Take a bowl and make a semi solid paste by adding gram flour, chilly powder, corn flour, salt with water …let it be semi solid not too watery and not too thick.
6.Take a kadai pour enough oil for deep frying.Dip the potato masala balls in the gram flour mix and
fry it in the oil.
Hot and tasty Aloo Bonda is ready to be served.
Serve it with ketchup.
