| 2 cup | Basmati rice |
| 1 tsp | Oil(gingely oil) |
| 1 strands | Curry leaves |
| 3 pinch | Asafoetida powder |
| 4 cup | Water |

| 2 cup | Grated mango |
| 1 tsp | Mustard seeds |
| 2 tsp | Chana dal |
| ½ cup | Peanuts |
| ½ cup | Cashew |
| 4 tbsp | Oil |
| 5 nos | Green chilli (slit open) |
| Salt as required |
Instructions
Cook the rice adding few drops of oil and salt.Transfer the cooked rice to a tray ,add 1tsp oil ,curry leaves and asfoetida powder.Let this cool.See to it that the rice grains are not sticky.
Heat oil in a wide mouthed vessel ,splutter mustard seeds and then add chana dal,peanuts,cashews fry till golden brown.Now add green chilies,curry leaves,salt and grated mango.Cook in low flame till the raw smell goes away.Add the cooked rice and mix it thoroughly.
You can have it along with potato chips,pappad or potato curry.
Notes
You can also add a pinch of turmeric powder while frying the mixture.
