Mutton Soup

Description

Home style mutton soup.
Ingredients
¼ lb Mutton
1 no Onion (diced)
1 no Tomato (diced)
3 clove Garlic
2 pinch Turmeric powder
½ tsp Coriander /dhania powder
¼ tsp Black pepper powder
10 nos Curry leaves
¼ tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Ghee
½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
1 cup Water

Instructions

Wash and cut mutton into small pieces and keep aside. Take a pressure pan add mutton pieces, chopped onion, tomatoes, garlic cloves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, salt and water. Pressure cook up to 2 whistles, when the steam releases open the lid and transfer the content to a bowl. In the same pan heat ghee, season with cumin seeds and curry leaves, add the pressure cooked content and let boil for a minute. Switch off and serve.

    nice recipe. I just made it and it is very tasty. Can this be replicated with Chicken instead of mutton? If yes, any changes to the recipe?

      Bubagump, chicken will work too, try with chicken bones, which you can discard after cooking. Meat is fine too.

      yeah, you wouldnt need to use the pressure cooker though… since chicken cooks faster than mutton. but one whistle wouldnt do harm… save some LPG.
