Pasta (Rotini)

Description

Pasta

Pasta is basically Italian food similar to noodles, so why not try out in chinese style. This simple recipe comes under fusion cooking where rotini a short pasta, twisted into a spiral shape, is stir fried in chinese style. Any variety can be used , but this spiral shaped pasta gives a decorative effect to the dish and children would love it.

Ingredients
1 cup Pasta
3 cup Water
5 tsp Oil
1 cup Choice of vegies (diced or cut lengthwise)
1 bunch Spring onions (finely chopped)
1 no Green chilli (minced)
2 clove Garlic (finely minced)
2 inch Ginger (minced)
1 tsp Black peppercorns (crushed)
½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
½ tsp Soy sauce

Instructions

In a deep pan heat water with a few drops of oil and bring it to a boil. Add pasta and let cook for 10 minutes, until it turns soft and firm. Meanwhile take another stir fry pan and heat oil and fry all the vegies along with minced ginger, garlic and green chillies for few minutes. Now check the pasta and drain excess water using a colander and add it to the vegie mixture and saute with soy sauce , salt , pepper and spring onions. Serve hot with any sauce.
