Ghee Rice

Description

This is a dish which is served at weddings along with mutton gravy in my place. 
Ingredients
½ kg Rice
50 ml Ghee
1 tsp Ginger & garlic paste
2 nos Cloves
2 nos Cardamoms
1 inch Cinnamon stick
2 nos G.chillies
Mint leaves
Coriander leaves
1 tsp Salt
1 nos Onion (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan.
  2. then fry all the spices along with the onion and ginger garlic paste.
  3. then add the chopped mint leaves and coriander leaves, green chillies.
  4. Finally add the rice, salt and required quantity of water.
  5. Serve hot with Mutton gravy.

Notes

Basmathi rice or Seeraga Samba rice will give good tats for this recipe.

Water quantity depends on the rice variety we use. So I have not included water quantity here.

As this is my aunt's recipe she gave me only the rough quantity. But it can be changed according to taste.
