Masala Vada

Description

Masala Vadas are popular South Indian deep fried crisp lentil dumplings prepared with channa dal(bengal gram lentil),onions and some spices.The outer crust is crisp,tastes great and is generally eaten as a snacks and well accompolished with tea in evening times.
Ingredients
1 cup Bengal gram (kadhala paruppu)
½ Onion (chopped)
1 Green chilli
3 Red chilli
1 Cumin seeds
2 Cinnamon stick (small)
½ Coriander leaves,mint leaves
1 T Garlic (chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger (chopped)
Salt as required
Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

Soak  bengal gram(khadala paruppu) in water for 30 mins and drian the water completely. .. In a mixie jar, add the bengal gram, cumin seeds,red chillis, and cinnamon  grind it once…Don't add water while grinding and don't grind the paste very smooth… Now add chooped onions, corainder leaves, mint leaves,ginger, garlic, green chillis, salt(dont add water) and mix all ingrediants well. Heat the oil in pan . make a paste into flat dumplings and deep fry in medium heat till golden color and crispy.

    Woooo Tea colour superb…. How do you make it. We SL are tea lovers…. After coming here we do not get good tea so have to stick with coffee…:(:(:(
