Description
Tofu Podimaas is very easy to do..everyone know about tofu,but we do very less varieties of dishes with this tofu…i like to introduce tofu as podimaas, its looks similar to egg podimaas, even kids will start loving this podimaas..very simple, healthy n tasty sidedish goes very well with chappathis,naans n rice dishes..Tofu is very rich in protein n perfect substitute for cheese n egg.

300 g | Tofu |
1 no | Onion(chopped ) |
1 no | Tomato (chopped) |
3 no | Green chilli |
½ tsp | Mustard seed |
½ tsp | Split black gram (ullundu) |
½ tsp | Channa dhal(kadalai paruppu) |
½ tsp | Pepper powder |
3 nos | Curry leaves |
Salt(as per taste) |
Instructions
Smash tofu with ur fingers but dont smash very small pieces..
Heat oil in a pan..splutter mustardseeds,ulundu n kadala parupu..add now onion n stir it..add green chillies with the chopped onion.. stir together until onions turns transparent..add chopped tomato n smash it..let them cook for sometimes..
Add smashed tofu n salt with onion n tomato mix n stir it well for 10 minutes..add pepper powder n put off the stove..never add water in this recipe, if u want to be more spicy add pepper powder a little bit instead of green chillies.
Tofu podimaas is ready to serve…

Hmm nice one..but i really find it difficult in distinguishing…here there are varieties of Tofu…edhulayum englishla eludhama chinesela eludiyiruppaanga…will some how try to get it.

Hi Sadhana n arthi..thanks , u guys have to take lightly yellowish tofu..even yennakum antha problem irruku ingayum chinesela irrukum..dont take the fried tofu..pale yellowish n whiteaa irrukum slight yellowva antha tofus yedunga..hope this will help u..
