Green gram …..Mung bean, also known as mung, moong, mash bean, munggo or monggo, green gram, golden gram, and green soy, is the seed of Vigna radiata which is native to India. The split bean is known as moong dal, which is green with the husk, and yellow when dehusked.
Sambaar Variety
Once in a while i make Sambaar with lots of vegetables. I find this kind of Sambaar to be more healtier than usual sambaar with one or two vegetables.Heard from an aunty that while cooking there must be different colours of vegetables as each and every coloured vegetables has different kinds of vitamins in them .For example when u make green leaves with dal then make carrot Poriyal. Though both look colourful , we all definitely know that Green leaves and carrot are good for health.
