set dosa with simple vadakari

Description

this set dosa and vadakari is very famous in Madras.this dish is served in almost all hotels.sure everybody will like this
Ingredients
3 cup Raw rice (pachai arisi)
1 cup Par boiled rice (pulungal arisi)
cup Cooked rice
¾ cup Urad dhal(ooluntham paruppu)
1 tbsp Fenugreek seed
1 pinch Samayal soda
Oil (for dosai)
Salt
2 cup Channa dal (kadala paruppu)
6 nos Onion medium (sliced)
3 nos Tomate(chopped)
1 no Garlic (cut thin strips)
4 nos Greenchillies
2 nos Pattai garambu
2 tsp Sombu/aniseeds
10 nos Cashew
3 tsp Chille powder
tsp Turmeric powder
3 tbsp Coriander /dhania powder (
Salt (as per taste

Instructions

soak the rice and urad dhall fenugreek seed     for 4 hrs and grind it to fine paste with the cooked rice and salt and leave it overnight or for 6 hrs.next day add pinch of aappa soda and mix well.now heat the tawa and make palm size soft otthappams.when 2 otthappams are ready place the vadakari in between while it is hot and serve.The soft dosas will get soaked in vadakari  and it will be delicious to eat.to make vadakari soak the channa dhall for 1 hour and grind it to half the size of dhall,that is just turnover the mixie once or twice with salt.fry this mixture into small size soft pakoras.heat 3 teaspoon oil in a cooker andadd paattai krambu cashew,sombu curry leaves and fry for 1 mt.then add the  onions and saute for 3 mts,add tomatoes chilles,chilly powder,dhania powder,turmeric and saute for1 mt.then add the crumbled pakoras and enough water to make thick gravy and add salt.close the lid  akeep it for 2 whistles and turn        off.garnish with coriander leaves.

Notes

this is simple vadari  for dosas,you can make rich vadakari also which goes well with pulavs,idli,dosa,chappathi,aappametc

    U didnt mention the number of cups for cooked rice too..pls edit..

    there is a mistake in the ingredients,urad dhall is three fourth cup and not 3 cups
