Sago is known as Javarusi in Tamil…sago r prepared from Tapioca starch, they r also called as tapioca pearls…This neyyi laddu is very easy to prepare, usually we prepare milk paayasam with this tapioca pearls, we can also prepare laddus n its tastes awesome, give a trial…here we go..
Javarusi Neyyi Urundai/ Sabudana ghee Laddoo/ Sago laddoo/Javarusi Laddu

½ cup | Sago(javarusi, sabudana) |
¾ cup | Sugar |
2 tsp | Cardamom powder |
¼ cup | Ghee |
10 nos | Cashew pieces |
Instructions
Dry roast sago in a pan until they pops up…keep aside n let them cool..grind sugar into powder in a food processor, take a large bowl add the powdered sugar in it..now grind the roasted sago into powder n sieve them n add them with the powdered sugar, grind the grinded sago pieces again n sieve them completely, add the cardamom powder with the sugar n sago powder…heat 2 tsp ghee in a pan n roast the cashew nuts until they turns brown n add them to the sago n sugar powder n mix everything well…now heat ghee in the same pan n add little by little ghee to the powdered sugar n sago..make them as ball immediately else it will be hard to make them balls once the ghee gets cool…finish the sago n sugar powder as balls…
Delicious Sago Neyyi Laddu r ready!!!!!! arrange them in an airtightened box..finish them within 3 days..

instead of ghee can v use warm milk to make laddoos as v do for rava laddoos?
Hi Seema… if u add warm milk the grinded sago will turns sticky, better to do with ghee..as sago turns sticky u cant make them as laddu..hope i would have cleared ur doubt..
