Ragi Adai

Description

Ragi AdaiRagi is also known as millet, nachni, sollu, or sattemavu which is full of proteins and helps in digesting as it has high content of calcium and some rare nutrients such as methionine . Raagi Flour also known as kurakkan flour is used to make rotis, dosa, porridge and other food products.
Ingredients
1 cup Ragi flour
1 no Onion ( finely chopped)
3 nos Green chilli (finely chopped)
Salt (as per taste)
Water (approx for mixing)
Spinach (finely chopped)

Instructions

Add chopped onion, green chillies,ragi flour,water,spinach and salt in a bowl and mix everything to form a thick batter.

In a aluminium Foil or polythene sheet spread some oil and spread little batter like circular pan cake.

Now place it on a hot iron tawa or dosai kal then add little oil and cook until the top portion becomes dry and then turn it to the other side and cook for few seconds.

Now your adai is ready to serve.

    i put some coconut pieces(cut small) in the dough for the crunchy taste.

    why we need to put in aluminium foil? does it means put a foil on heated tava and keep cooking pancakes in it, one after another.

    please reply, i want to try the receipe.
