Description
peas masala idli is made out of the left over idli batter, healthy and nutricious too. Fuzzy kids will love to eat this kind of idlis.
Ingredients | |

5 cup | Idli rawa batter |
¾ cup | Chopped onion |
½ cup | Cooked peas |
¼ cup | Corriander leaves (can add more if u like the taste) |
Curry leaves ( little) | |
¼ tsp | Turmeric powder |
Salt to taste | |
1 pinch | Garam masala |
1 tsp | Mustard seeds |
1 tsp | Urad dal |
2 no | Green chilli (chopped finely) |
Oil ( as per need) |
Instructions
Heat little oil in a kadai,splutter mustard seeds and urad dhal, add chopped onion, green chilli,garam masala , fry till golden brown and add curry leaves , cooked peas.
Atlast add corriander and Mix all with the idli batter. keep aside for 2 min.
Heat idli cooker and pour the 2tsp batter in a idli mould and cook for more than 5 min in medium flame and remove from fire and serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
Delicious peas masala idli is ready to taste. kids will grab and eat.
Notes
Rice rawa batter:
3 cup rice rawa
1.25 cup urad dhal.
salt to taste
a pinch cooking soda
Soak rice rawa in water. grind urad dhal into paste. Drain water fully from rice rawa. Add the urad dhal paste to the idli rawa and add salt and soda. ferment it over nite. use the next day.
We can modify this recipe by adding more masala and more vegetable also. give a try
