2 nos | Paya |
5 nos | Onion medium ( chopped ) |
3 nos | Tomato (chopped) |
4 T | Yogurt / curd (preferably thick) |
2 T | Ginger garlic paste |
2 T | Red chilly powder |
1 tsp | Garam masala powder |
½ tsp | Tumeric powder |
3 T | Ground coconut paste |
1 cup | Coriander and mint leaves chopped |
3 no | Green chili (slit open 1 inch) |
Oil ( as per need) |
Instructions
First scrape out the hair on the paya before washing it (get it well cleaned).
In a cooker saute the onions in the oil. after it turns transparent , add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder & turmermic saute well so that raw smell goes away. now put tomatoes, again saute it for 5 mins let oil leave the sides . add paya & curd to it. now add the garam masala, coconut paste, green chillies , coriander & mint leaves. add water , close it & let it cook for atlest 20 mins.

fried onions are optional. this goes well with kulcha, Rumali rotis, Roti, Chappati, Parotta, Dosa, Idiyappam or however you want, just go ahead and try it!
