Mushroom Pepper Fry - Kalan Milagu Varuval
Mushroom Pepper Fry - Simple spicy mushroom fry that can be made under 10 minutes.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 cups Mushrooms sliced
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 6 each Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- 2 tsp Black pepper powder
Instructions
- Heat oil in pan.
- Temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
- Add in ginger garlic paste and fry in oil for few minutes.
- Add sliced mushroom and saute along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
- Stir fry to cook the masala powders for few minutes.
- When mushroom starts to release water, add in black pepper powder and fry for few more minutes or until the masala thickens. Switch off!
- Serve as side for rice or roti!
Notes
Adding freshly ground black pepper powder enhances the taste and also adds in extra punch to heat.
You may use any mushroom of choice.
