Sri Lankan recipee.
Priya,
Nice kollu podi, want to try ur way.
My mom prepares kollu podi without toor dhal, just cook kollu until it is 3/4 cooked and then drain the water and save for rasam, grind kollu with dry fried coriander seeds, cumin, red chilies, curry leaves. Eat with seseme oil and hot rice.
Nice one priya. I love kollu podi. I used to take kollu podi everyday. I used to make without toordal, b’coz kollu is a weight reducer.
Have a great day
Nice use of healthy “kollu” priya. kudos for your effort in posting a new recipe each day! Could you kindly let me know ,how you cook the rice as shown in picture? Each and every grain of rice looks seperated and looks fully cooked. Did you use basmati rice? I can cook basmati as shown in the picture , but I am not able to get this consistency with other rice varities. Any tips please? like cooking in open pan/cooker etc?
Very good idea priya. One of the best way of using kollu. Soon i'll also try.
