Glimpse of Eclipse

Description

"Glimpse of Eclipse" is a non-food related post submitted with the intension to give the readers, a break from my usual scary boring recipes. Its been 2 years since food blogging and every pot & pan in my kitchen, seems to literally caught up in the " leave me alone phobia" and me…desperately looking for an excuse to escape cooking.  Yesterday was perfect… a total lunar eclipse, crystal clear skies… brutally cold though, spicy Thai take out… what more could I ask for??  With something extraordinary happening in front of your eyes, with amazing beauty which we don't get to see that often, why not avail it ???? Quicky grabbed my camera and started gazing at the moon trying to capture the best.

A lunar eclipse occurs at Full Moon and only if the Moon passes through some portion of Earth's shadow. Total lunar eclipse takes place when sun, moon and earth are alinged exactly very close with Earth in the center.

Simple science

"Sun" supplying light —- " Earth" in the center blocking the light —- "Moon" covered with earth's shadow.

Here's my science

SpiceIndiaOnline, throwing light… "Sun" —- My Camera, captures the or from "Earth" — My readers, highlight of the day "Moon"

Ingredients
1 Telescope, binoculars, tripod (optional)
1 Camera
3.26 Hours and minutes

Instructions

Here you go…. starting with the Full moon

Some more…

And more…

Finally it happenned…

Mission Accomplished !!

Little bonus… appearance of  Saturn (a small star on the left lower bottom).

Nice one. Just to let you know your recipes are far from “usual scary boring ” …..they are mouth watering good and entertains all my senses 🙂 Keep up the great work. There are so many days where I don’t even feel like cooking but I enjoy looking through your recipes & photos. I feel satisfied and full by just doing that. Sadly the rest of the family doesn’t feel the same way. lol. Take Care!
