Fish Gravy

Description

Fish GravyFish Gravy is an attempt made by me to make the tangy fish curry in to a masala gravy with slight tangy taste and my attempt was successful hence sharing this recipe with you all.

Ingredients-1
1 T Ginger and garlic paste[to grind]
1 tsp Pepper corns[to grind]
1 tsp Fennel seeds[to grind]
1 Tomato (medium sizechopped to grind)
1 Onion[big size chopped length wise to grind]
Ingredients-2
Corriander leaves for garnishing
pinch Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
½ tsp Fennel seeds
Few curry leaves
8 nos Fish pieces cleaned and washed well
Oil as per need
Salt as per taste
2 T Red chilly powder and corriander powder mixed[adjust as per preference]
½ cup Coconut milk
2 tbsp Tamarind paste

Instructions

1. Take a pan add 1 tsp of oil and add all the contents[ingredient :1] to grind  and saute well till onion turns translucent, allow the content to cool and grind well and keep it aside.

2. Take a pan add oil and add little fennel seeds and curry leaves and add the ground content and saute well now add all the masalas and salt[ingredient:2] one by one and mix well and leave till u see a nice thick gravy.

3.Now add tamarind juice and coconut milk and add little water and allow the gravy to boil.

4.Now add the fish and cover the pan and leave it on sim for a few minutes untill the fish cooks.

Garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with white rice and fish fry.

Notes

I have used Mackerel fish for the above recipe.
