Description
All time favourite starters made simple.
Ingredients | |
---|---|
10 nos | Cubes of chicken breast |
2 T | Yogurt / curd (preferably thick) |
1 tsp | Ginger & garlic paste |
1 tsp | Corainder powder |
1 T | Turmeric powder |
1 tsp | Red chili powder |
1 tsp | Salt |
2 T | Cooking oil |
1 T | Lime juice |
2 pinch | Red color powder |
Instructions
Cut chicken breast into cubes. Smaller the size, better will be the quality. Mix it with 1/4 tsp of salt and the lime juice and leave it for 30 min. Now make the marination by mixing all the other ingridents into a smooth paste and let the chiken be marinated in this paste for 6 to 8 hrs in the fridge. Apply little oil to the skewers and skew the chicken pieces. Preheat the oven to 250 deg C and grill for 6-8 minutes. Turn the tikka and grill again for 5 min (until you see the edges darkened). Delicious chicken tikka is ready!
Notes
1. To make the tikkas softer – Take a cotton cloth (or handkerchief) put double the quantity yoghurt into it and hang it overnight to remove the water content. Leave a container underneath so that the water content will get collected in it. Use this thick curd for better results.
2. You can skew the chicken alternated with onion and capsicum pieces. Make sure that you cut them to the same size as the chicken cube. Apply little bit of marination to it before skewing.
