I happened to try this recipe not out of curiousness; but accidently. Yes, it started with the left out sugar syrup prepared for making Badusha. I didn't want to waste it, so I tried with the readily available besan flour!

When i was in India , i happened to see a cook making Badhusha in a wedding, never thought that it would be so easy.Yesterday i had guests at home and was just wondering what to make I made chicken gravy , mutton masala , peas pulav ,raitha,chicken fry and vadas..but i was a bit stuck like what i should be serving at the end of the lunch?! suddenly an idea popped up thats how i made Badhusha the day before night and it came out really very well. Diamond cakes, its ressembles like diamond biscuits, whoever doesnt have oven can do this diamond cakes by deep frying, coz when we were kids, its kinda hard to have oven at home, my mom used to do this cakes in home for snacks, was one of my fav too..
