Here is what i made with chicken and potato with coconut milk…Chicken Kurma!!!
boil and peel the egg covering and keep aside
take long sliced onion fry in little oil till it becomes light brown
add tomatoes ad bit salt fry along till oil comes out
add turmeric and chilly powder
add ginger grlic paste and fry
add one cup water and allow to boil add eggs which are cut length wise into half
boil till it becomes thick
add half cup of cocunut milk
boil for 2-3 minutes
garnish with coriander leaves
eat with chapathi,idli, fried rice dosai
Kara sev is savory snack of Tamil nadu. Mostly prepared in special occasion , it is very very easy to make….Actually it is made out of vanaspathi and soda….here i have added butter and soda. And instead of boondhi laddle i have used ARI KARANDI(in tamil)/JALLI KARANDI( in tamil) / SLOTTED SPOON IN ENGLISH. Try out and enjoy…
Ingredients:
kollu-1 cup
jaggery-1/4 cup
grated coconut-1/4 cup
elakai-2 No.
Method:
soak kollu in water for 5 hours.
cook the soaked kollu in pressure pan.
Drain the water(drink it..which reduces weight)and smash the cooked kollu.
Add grated coconut,powdered elakkai and jaggery to the smashed kollu and mix them well.
make that as kozhukattai and cook it in idly pan for few minutes.
cut ladies finger into small pieces keep aside
soak a small quantity of tamarind and keep aside
take kadai add two tsp oil add small onion,big onion,4 tsp jeera,3 tsp coriander seeds, 5 red chilly
fry till onion becomes light brown to that add coconut scrabed add half tomato if interested
and fry
allow to coolthe mixture and grind
