U can make Vadais with the corn kernels. I tried it , it was awesome hence wanted to share this recipe wid u all.Hope u will like it
Hi I am living at Taiwan where getting dals is very difficult. My husband loves Vada and after coming to Taiwan i dont make Vadas so often as Uradh dal and Channa dal are not available here.Even if it is available , its very very expensive.So i have started experimenting vadas with the dal which i get here, that is Moong dal, Paasi paruppu in tamil. And this vada came out really well.I hope u will also try and enjoy this recipe.
Mochai Kurma (Vall Whole Bean Kurma) is a delicious side dish that goes well with both Rice and Chappathi. Many might be unfamiliar with the English name of it.To be more specific,I have posted the picture of Mochai along.This kurma basically gets it's flavor from Vall bean (Mochai).
Beans Paruppu Usili is a south indian vegetable side dish that goes well with rice especially curd rice.
This is one of the famous recipe of kanchipuram.Its also called kudalai idli.
Its a dry sambol that can be taken with hoppers, string hoppers, thosai, puttu even white rice. But you need "ural" to make it. Even dry grinders do not give the exact taste.
This mouth watering thokku can be used along with rice or could be used as a side dish for dosa, idli or chapathi.
I learnt this awesome receipe from one of my friends. The green used could be any variety ranging from arai keerai to pasalai keerai / gonkura.
Very tasty chutney which will make u have as many idlis and dosas as u can.
Ingredients:
100 gms groundnuts (fried)
Red chillies 4 or green chillies 2
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic just one peice
coconut 3 inch
salt to taste
tamarind just a little bit for a tangy taste.
Grind all the above with half cup of water and add tadka to it.It is ready to be served.
Please note: coconut and ginger garlic are optional u can add it if u want. This would still taste good without coconut and ginger garlic.
