broken poha in tamarid sauce
I happened to try this dish yesterday. We had planned chappathi for dinner 2 days back, and later realised its ammavasyay. so had to refrigerate both the dough and the soaked green gram meant for dhal. turned out to be very tasty. no side dish was required since it was basically a dhal stuffing.
Onion samosas in other words kadai samosas or mini samosas . I want to try this recipe for a long time. but i dint get this pukka glazed finish b4 . I tried this by using baking powder sieved with maida then i got the crispness and glazed finish. Onion stuffings recipe i got it from a cook book. Now i loved this taste, essence and crispness.
Ingredients:
Potato – 2 Nos (Medium size)
Small onions – 100 gram
Grated Coconut – 2-½ cup
Coriander powder – 3 tsp
Green Chillies cut into round – 2nos
Tamarind –
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Oil – 2tsp
Salt – To taste
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Red Chilli – 2 nos

Hi friends, Without idli rice i tried idli with long grain rice couple of times and this time it turned out really very soft and the taste of idlis are similar to our normal idlis.
We need idlis for our kids. If u don't get idli rice, try this method.

Usually we make any one variety of dal in our homes but how about making a mixed version so as to gain maximum benefit out of it??
We usually buy radish and throw away the leaves… i read somewhere that the leaves have much more nutrient content than radish. So voila thought of something and whipped up this recipe…..

This tangy chutney goes well with idli, dosai and chappathi.
