Instructions
- Keep boiled eggs cut into half and keep them ready. Learn HOW TO MAKE PERFECT HARD BOILED EGGS
- Heat oil in a kadai…. add crushed garlic, red chilli powder and salt.
- Fry them over low medium flame for a minute or till the garlic gets soft. Makes sure to keep the flame at low or else the red chilli powder will stick to the base and will get burned. Also keep stirring constantly to avoid sticking to the pan.
- Add in the water after the garlic gets cooked to crisp.
- Now add the boiled eggs to it… place cut side down.
- Apply pressure with your hands to coat the masala… just shake the pan if you don’t want to touch.
- Let this cook over low flame. After a minute the oil will get frothy and masala gets attached to the eggs… also the outer layer gets fried a bit and gets crisps. Flip to coat the other side too.
- Switch off and garlicky flavored egg fry is ready to be served.
- Goes very well with sambar, rasam or curd rice. Perfect for lunch box sides for any mild pulao or biryani too. I like to just sandwich between a bread and eat for breakfast.
