Black-eyed beans curry

  Black eyed beans curry

 Rich in protiens… Very tasty with rotis and easy to prepare

Ingredients
1 cup Black eyed beans
1 cup Greengram dhal (whole)
2 nos Onions
2 nos Tomatoes
2 nos Garlic
2 inch Ginger
4 T Oil
2 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 T Lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tsp Red chilli powder
4 strands Coriander leaves

Instructions

Wash and soak the Black eyed beans and greengram dhal (whole) for atleast 1hour.

Cook it in pressure cooker

Cut the onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger

Heat oil in a vok or kadai,  add ginger, garlic, onions and tomatoes and sauté it.

Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder & salt to taste.

Add the cooked beans and dhal to this and mix it by adding little water so that it becomes gravy

After its done, mix lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves

    I Luv it even if its just boiled. I didnt think we can make curry. would like to try.. yea, Its true tat its good for health. We sri lankans call it as “Kowpi” & in written language its “Kowvi”….
