Banana Bread

Description

A healthy breakfast which you can make it in the weekend and enjoy it the whole week. Can spread butter or jam on it for extra taste.
Ingredients
1½ cup Wheat flour (chapathi flour)
½ cup Bread flour (can substitute with all purpose flour too)
2 nos Ripe banana (mashed)
½ cup Olive oil
1 no Egg
1 cup Sugar (powdered)
1 tsp Baking soda
Pinch of salt
2 T Chopped nuts(silvered almonds, cashews)
¼ cup Raisins
2 tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions


 

Step 1:

Preheat the oven:

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Step 2:

Making bread dough:

With a wooden spoon, mix oil into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flours last and mix. Mix in chopped nuts and raisins.

Pour mixture into a buttered loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour(Till the tooth pick come out clean). Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

Can make this bread with any oil you have in the pantry

    Hi Viji, Very nice. One time i made this bread with ‘banana nut crunch cereal’. Just i added only flour & butter with that cereal. It came out very nice. Haha un Recipe-kku vettu vaikirena? So sorry.

      Hey Kavi akka… Vettu vaikuringala.. Just upload the recipe akka.. I dont like to eat fruits as it is.. athisaya piravi.. But i like to eat as bread, muffin, shakes like that.. Even i have tried the banana bread with honey nut cereals..But at that time i dint took the picture.. he he.. It was crunchy.. oNce tried with oats too.. he he.. summa just trying than.. It was not good like cereals.. When r u planning to upload ur recipe? Will be very glad to give a try.. VIJI

        Hi viji,  I made it when i was in Minneapolis. That cereal 1 serving is 430 calories. So i stopped to buy that cereal…. Kavi

          Wow.. 1 serving is 430 calories.. Hmm… Cant believe this.. Then dont get that.. he he.. All banana's are good for instant energy nah.. May be because of that the calories are high..VIJI

      Hi Nithya.. similar to that cake.. but in this i changed the flour and the substitute the butter with oil. So very healthy breakfast..VIJI
