Sieve wheat flour and maida with a little salt. Add curd and oil.
Knead a soft dough.Keep aside for 20 min. Divide into equal portions.
Grind green chilli ,garlic and ginger in to fine masala paste.
Cook the vegetables. Now add chopped onion, coriander leaves , garam masala and ground chilli, salt into one cup chopped and cooked vegetables and mash them nicely. add the lemon juice. make equal size balls out of the vegetable mixture.
Take one portion of the dough, roll out into small chapati, place one portion of vegetable mixture into the centre of the chapati and seal carefully on all sides. Roll out again into chapatis about half cm thick dusting with flour to prevent the chapati from sticking the board.
Bake or fry on tawa by adding ghee to both sides till nicely golden brown.
Serve hot with pickle.

Hi Divya,
Thanks for sharing. Also, u can do these parathas, with any kind of greens – raw. Just need to wash & finely chop the greens and green chillies. Mix with flour, water & salt and a 2 tsp of heated oil and make the dough. Roll them as regular chapatis & fry on tawa with oil or ghee. This is very tasty too. Infact, you can use all vegetables (like, beans, peas, onions, cabbage, carrots, bottle gourd etc.,) like this – completely raw, mix with flour and roll & fry with oil or ghee. They will be very tasty too. Also, it is much easier, quicker and more healthier since there is no much masala in it and vegetables are not cooked. As you said, kids would love it and it is a better way to make them eat lots of vegetables 🙂
Your chapatis look great & tempting, Divya.
Roopashri thanks for ur idea..surely will give a try next time when i prepare parathas….thanks for ur comments too…
