2 cup | Idly rice |
2 cup | White raw rice ( pacha arisi) |
1 cup | Jaggery |
1 T | Fenugreek |
1 tbsp | Urad dhall |
Sesame oil (nallennai) |
Instructions
Mix both the rice, urad dhall and fenugreek and soak in water for atleast 6 hours.
Grind the mixture in the same consistency as idly dough add little salt and mix the dough and then leave the dough for atleast 4 hours to get ready.
prepare the jaggery paste by mising jagerry in water and boil it for 15 min and when it come to comes to Kambi patham filter the jaggery paster into the Paniyaram dough and mix well, the dough will change from white color to light brown colour.
Keep the Paniyara Kalu in stove and add nalennai in each hole and once it is heated add the dough and let it cook, once it is cooked in one side rotate the paniyaram and cook in other side also.
once it turns to light brown remove it from the stove.
you can have this paniyaram with the same jaggery paste it will be so yummy. or you can have without side dish.
Notes
You can make white panirayam also with the same dough, add little onion, curry leaves, green chillies in the dough and prepare the paniyaram same way like in the above said way. Thengai chutney will be the best side dish for this white paniyaram.
