Paneer Pepper Fry | Pepper Paneer Recipe
Paneer stir fried with veggies and black pepper! Quick dry curry that can be served as an appetizer best stuffing for lunch roll or sandwich.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 100 grams Paneer cubes
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 cup Onion quartered / petals
- 1/2 cup Green Capsicum / Bell Pepper chopped
- 4 small Green Chili slit open
- 1 tbsp Garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Ginger minced
- 2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Cut paneer into cubes and soak in warm water until use.
- Tip – rather than shallow frying soaking in warm water helps to keep the paneer soft and moist during the cooking process.
- Alternate method : – Coat paneer in a light cornstarch batter mixed with salt and pepper and can be shallow fried in oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Heat oil in a stir fry pan. Maintain medium high flame.
- Fry minced garlic, ginger and green chilies.
- Add onion and green capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Drain all the water from the paneer and add it to the onion and peppers.
- Add salt and cook.
- Add black pepper powder and stir fry over high medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with curry and coriander leaves.
- Give a quick stir fry and turn off the heat!
