Kids School Lunch Box 15 – Tater Tot Sandwich

Weekday mornings could be hectic.. packing school lunch is always a ? Once in a while I opt for few short cuts…..this sandwich here can come in handy on the days when you are in no mood to start anything from scratch or sleeping way past the alarm 🙂 hehehe… This lunch box is not only for kids but for adults too… a quick sandwich idea which is not only easy but also palatable. Believe me, I have tried this and did pat myself for coming up with this silly silly Taterwich!

This is all you need. I’ve used wholegrain soft bread roll, frozen Ore ida tater tots for this recipe which can be life saver- (forget the healthy part just for one day :mrgreen:) You may either deep fry or pan fry according to package instruction.  Let them cool a bit.

Mix cream cheese and mayo with balck pepper and keep it ready.

Shred the lettuce, coriander leaves, slice the onions and tomatoes if adding any.

Cut open the bread roll, spread the cream cheese mayo on either side, arrange the lettuce, coriander and onions along with the cooked tater tots. Fold and cut in an angle.

Tightly wrap in foil or plastic and pack it for school lunch. They stay good at room temperature for few hours. With few cut fruits on the side, you are saved for the day!

You may choose any soft bread roll- white, wheat, Multigrain anything of your choice.

Tater tots are available frozen, i deep fried it but you can also pan fry.
