Tasty Moong Dal Vada

Hi I am living at Taiwan where getting dals is very difficult. My husband loves Vada and after coming to Taiwan i dont make Vadas so often as Uradh dal and Channa dal are not available here.Even if it is available , its very very expensive.So i have started experimenting vadas with the dal which i get here, that is Moong dal, Paasi paruppu in tamil. And this vada came out really well.I hope u will also try and enjoy this recipe. 

Ingredients-1
1 cup Moong dal (soaked)
Salt to taste
1 inch Ginger
Ingredients-2
1 Onion (medium size finely chopped)
2 nos Green chili (finely chopped)
1 tsp Asafoetida
2 strands Corrainder leaves (finely chopped)
1 cup Moong dal (soaked)
Ingredients-3
Oil for frying

Instructions

Grind the contents in table 1 . Now add all the contents in table2 to the ground content and shape them in to vadais.Now heat oil in a frying pan and Fry them like how u fry normal vadas.

    Hai sadhana,

    The recipe seems to be very tasty….but i have 1 doubt….in ingredients-2, u have mentioned to add i cup of moong dal…so, it is that we need soak 2 cups of moong dal seperately, and add 1 cup after grinding ingredients-1…Please let know…awaiting for clarity…
