2 tbsp | Grated coconut |
1 cup | Cooked thur dhall |
Instructions
GRIND TOGETHER:
red chillies-10
corainder seeds-1/2 tsp
urad dhal-1 tblspn
black pepper-few
fry the above ingrediants in little oil and grind with 1/4 cup of grated coconut
METHOD:
select thin skinned less greener bitter gourd
cut into round pieces add little salt and keep aside for half an hour
when salt is added the gourd oozes out little water..throw away that water..squeeze the pieces and take
Cook the gourd in thin tamarid extract to which tumeric ,salt is added
when gourd is soft,add mashed dhal,ground paste,jaggery and cook till gravy becomes thick
fry grated coconut in cocnut oil and add at the end just before removing from the fire.
garnish with curry leaves
