spinach Vadai

Description

A crispy and healthy snack.
Ingredients
1 cup Urad dhal(ooluntham paruppu)
1 cup Spinach(finely chopped)
1 cup Onion (finely chopped)
2 nos Green chilli (finely chopped)
1 stks Curry leaves (chopped)
Salt as required
Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

Soak urad dal in water for 1-2hrs.Grind it to a coarse batter.Add finely chopped spinach,onions,green chili,curry leaves and salt to the batter and mix well.Heat oil in kadai,take a small ball from the mixture and using the palm flatten it and put a whole in the center.To see if the oil is heated put a small mixture,if it rises instantly then u can start making the vadas.Put the vadas slowly into the oil.when it turns golden brown turn it,now cook in medium flame for 5 mins.Fry till golden brown.

                             

                            

Serve it hot with coconut chutney and sambar.

Notes

you can substitute green chilies with  wholeblack pepper if ur giving it to the kids.

can add any greens as per ur liking.u can also try it with finely chopped cabbage.
