20 nos | Prawns |
2 nos | Onions |
10 clove | Garlic |
¼ cup | Soyasauce |
¼ cup | Green chilli sauce |
½ cup | Tomato ketchup |
3 tsp | Vinegar |
¼ cup | Paprika powder r kashimiri chilli powder |
1½ nos | Chicken stock cubes r 1/2 tsp of ajinamoto |
2 nos | Red chillies |
2 tsp | Corn fllour |
1 tsp | Sugar |
2 T | Oil |
2 tsp | Chives |
Salt as per taste |
Instructions
Wash n remove the skin of the prawns but keep the tails intact..cut the onions lengthwise,cut the garlic into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan..now add red chillies n sauter them…then add the garlic pieces n stir them until they turns slightly red, add the prawns pieces n stir them for 3 r 4mintues they will turns slightly red, add the onions with the prawn pieces n stir them for 3 mintues, dont stir them for a long.. they should be crunchy..
Now add the chilly sauce, soyasauce, ketchup, paprika,sugar, vinegar with prawns..stir them for a while..add 1 1/2 cubes of chicken stock with them..if u dont have chicken stock can very well replace with 1/2 tsp of MSG(ajinamoto) ..stir them n add 2 cups of water n add salt as per taste, can add more r less water its upto ur taste, if u need more gravy add more water, n let them cook for 10 minutes. Mix corn flour n a small quantity of water to make a thick batter..add this batter to the gravy n stir them until they turns thick..paprika will give a reddish colour to the gravy if its not enough can add a pinch of red colour..but its optional..
Prawns in spicy garlic sauce is ready to serve..sprinkle chives while serving..

Actually prawn vaalu azhagu'ku than..shouldnt eat while having..else stomach pain than varum..
hmm adhaan kettane..coz here everyone has it with out removing the shell…or wateva…..my father in law says that we have to properly clean the non veg items appadeenu..so i get prawn cleaned ones from costco..

Great recipe. Ingredients la 1.5 nos chicken stock means 1.5 cubes thaane.. ok.. So you freeze the chicken stock in the form of ice cubes right? My family likes prawns would like to try. Thanks Priya.
Hi abhi thanks..yea is 1.5 cubes..no i didnt freezed chicken stock, we get chicken stocks in cubes here..can also use maggi chicken broth mix ..just to avoid ajinamoto i added chicken stocks..have a try n let me know..
