1 cup | Warm water |
2 cup | All purpose flour |
1 tsp | Olive oil |
1 tsp | Sugar |
½ tsp | Salt |
1 tsp | Dry yeast |
Ingredients-2 | |
---|---|
1 tsp | Olive oil |
¼ cup | Onion (finely chopped) |
1 tsp | Garlic (finely minced) |
3 no | Tomatoes (grape) |
2 tsp | Italian seasoning |
½ tsp | Salt |
¼ tsp | Black pepper powder |
1 can | Tomato paste |
1 tsp | Butter |
Ingredients-3 | |
---|---|
1 no | Onion (cut lengthwise) |
1 no | Capsicum (cut lenthwise) |
½ cup | Chicken |
½ cup | Shredded cheese |
1 tsp | Olive oil |
Instructions
Mix warm water, dry yeast, salt and sugar (from table-1) in a bowl. Mix it with a spoon till the solid ingredients gets dissolved completely and let it rest for 10 mins.
Then add a teaspoon of olive oil to it.
Now gradually add this mix to the flour and knead with your hands to form a soft dough.
Coat the dough with Olive oil and cover it with a plastic bag and let it sit for an hour at room temperature to double in size.
Push it down with your fist to deflate it, cover it and let it sit for an another hour.
Again the dough would have doubled in size.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and stretch it with your hands to form a pie shape about 1/4" thick. No need to knead the dough. Try making rim on the outer edge, if you can.
Cover it and let it sit for an another hour (actually I forgot this step). Now the base is ready. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 400'F for 30 mins.
For making sauce, first peel the tomatoes and grind it to make a puree from it. Heat oil in a skillet and saute the chopped onions and garlic for 2 mins. Then add the tomato puree, store bought tomato paste, italian seasoning and stir for 2 mins. Season with salt and pepper. Bring it to a boil and simmer for five mins. Then add the butter piece and switch it off when the butter is half melted. Stir thoroughly to blend all together.
Now transfer the dough to the baking tray and spread the sauce on the dough within 1" from the outer edge.
Spread the onions on top of the sauce.
Spread the capsicum on top of onion.
Spread the chicken on top of capsicum. Fried Chicken – Cut the chicken into bite size pieces and Marinate with 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp lime juice for half an hour and fry it in a tsp of oil.
Spread shredded cheese and drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil on top of all.
Now keep the tray in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 20 mins or until the outer edge turns brown.
After 20 mins, switch off the oven and let it cool for 10 mins. Now the pizza is ready to eat.
This one i tried for the third time and turned out pretty good. The only difference is, I baked the base for couple of minutes before baking with toppings.

You can get these from any grocery store or supermarket. You can prepare Italian seasoning on your own also (1 teaspoon of dried basil, dried marjoram, dried oregano and 1/2 tsp dried sage).

Hi,
Good work.. Actually i dont like tomato sauce in pizza.. can i avoid tomato sauce.
Thanks
saritha
I have never tasted pizza before as I dont like it. I tried this for the first time for my hubby. I haven't seen pizza without tomato sauce. Anyways, if you wanna try, try with some other sweet and sour gravy of your choice.
Mercy
very nice presentation…Thank u.
May I know why you avoided Mozerella cheese , which gives those stringy pizza pieces?
No particular reason behind that. This is just the basic recipe for making pizza. You can adapt this recipe to your own taste.
Mercy
