Good accompaniment to ven pongal , idli or dosai.

2 tbsp | Peanuts |
1 cup | Fresh grated coconut (optional) |
2 nos | Green chilli |
¼ inch | Ginger |
2 clove | Garlic |
¼ tsp | Mustard |
¼ tsp | Split black gram |
1 no | Red chilli |
5 nos | Curry leaves |
¼ tsp | Salt or to taste |
1 tsp | Oil |
3 tbsp | Water |
Instructions
Toast peanuts in a tawa without any oil for few minutes or until it turns slightly brown. Let it cool and remove the skin. Grind toasted peanuts, fresh grated coconut, green chillies, ginger and garlic with salt until soft by adding little water. In a pan splutter mustard, split black gram, curry leaves and red chilli in oil and add this to the ground paste and mix well.
