pav bhaji

A GOOD EVENING SNACK .

Ingredients
4 cnt Pav
3 nos Potato
2 nos Onion (finely chopped)
2 nos Tomatoes – chopped
1 no Carrot(chopped)
1 no Capsicum
1 tsp Ginger & garlic paste
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Chilli powder
Salt as required
3 pinch Orange food color (optional)
1 Lemon
Corrainder leaves (chopped for garnishing)
1 cup Water
4 oz Butter

Instructions

1.boil the potatoes,peel and mash them .
2.peel the carrots and finely chop them.
3.remove the seeds from capsicum and finely chop them.


4.heat butter (2oz)in a wide mouthed vessel,when the butter starts melting add finely chopped onions.
5.when the onion becomes transparent add the ginger garlic paste.
6.fry them till the raw smell goes off.
7.now add tomatoes and carrot.stir them and let it cook till the carrots  are tender.
8.add capsicum,salt,turmeric and chilli powder.
9.wait till the capsicum color is  changed.
10.add the mashed potaotes and mix well.
11.to this add 1 small cup of water and orange food colour, let this boil for few minutes.
12.switch off when the gravy has attained a semi-solid stage.


13.garnish with lemon wedges,onion and coriander leaves.

pav bun( this u will get in indian grocery)

1.cut through the pav into 2 halves.
2.heat a tava ,add butter and toast the pav on both sides.

serve hot with the gravy made.

Notes

1.u can add green peas if u like it.

2.if u feel the consistency is thick add water as needed.

3.u can also use hamburger bun.
