Ingredients

  • 100 grams Paneer cubes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion quartered / petals
  • 1/2 cup Green Capsicum / Bell Pepper chopped
  • 4 small Green Chili slit open
  • 1 tbsp Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger minced
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves

Instructions

  • Cut paneer into cubes and soak in warm water until use.
  • Tip – rather than shallow frying soaking in warm water helps to keep the paneer soft and moist during the cooking process.
  • Alternate method : – Coat paneer in a light cornstarch batter mixed with salt and pepper and can be shallow fried in oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a stir fry pan. Maintain medium high flame.
  • Fry minced garlic, ginger and green chilies.
  • Add onion and green capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • Drain all the water from the paneer and add it to the onion and peppers.
  • Add salt and cook.
  • Add black pepper powder and stir fry over high medium flame for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with curry and coriander leaves.
  • Give a quick stir fry and turn off the heat!
  • Serve as a starter or use as a stuffing for chapati roll or wrap!
