Mutton kurma

ING.

Mutton-1/2 kg

Oil-1/2 cup

Ghee-2 tbsp

3c’s(cloves-2,cardamom-2,cinnamon-1”)

Aniseeds-1/2 tsp

Onions-3

Tomatoes-1

G.g. paste-2 tsps

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Coriander leaves-1 cup

Mint-1 cup

Chillies-5(split)

Salt-1 tsp or required

Coconut-1/2

Poppy seeds-1-tsp

Cashew-4 tsp

Method

In your pressure cooker pour oil ,ghee and fry 3c’s and aniseeds.

When turns colour add the onion and fry till golden brown , later add mint , coriander , g.chillies ,mutton , g.g.paste , salt , turmeric and fry till oil seperates.

Now add 11/2 cup water and pressure cook.

When done add coconut paste and let it boil on medium flame for 10 min.

Garnish and serve hot.

 

Notes

Grind coconut adding poppy seeds ,cashews and aniseede to a very fine paste.

Goes well with plain rice,ghee rice idiyapam,puri,idli,dosai,idiyapam,biriyani.

         Use coconut grated 1 cup,it would be enough.
