250 g | Kovakkai |
3 nos | Big onion [chopped for grinding] |
2 nos | Tomato (big) chopped |
2 tsp | Ginger garlic paste |
2 tsp | Red chill powder |
2 tsp | Coriander powder |

2 tsp | Oil |
2 tsp | Ghee (for sauteing) |
Pattai garambu | |
1 tsp | Jeera (cumin) |
1 tsp | Fenugreek seeds |
Instructions
cut the kovakka into small pieces.grind half of sliced onion and ginger garlic paste.place a kadai on the stove,add ghee and oil and pattai,krambu,venthiam and jeera andwhen they splutter add the sliced onion and fry till golden brown,then add the tomatoes and saute for 2 mts and then add the onion paste and all the powders and saute well and now add the kovakka and saute for 2 mts and add salt enough water to cook,when the vegetable is cooked and gravy is thick remove from fire and serve with hot rice and sambar or rasam or curd rice
