Makes 1 large plain cake or many cup cakes .Preheat oven for 10 minutes and then place the pan for baking...Bake in a pre heated oven for 30 minutes @ 325 degrees F. You can check if the cake is done by inserting a tooth prick and if it comes out clean, the cake is done.
Notes
Please remember:
1.Timings and temperature depends on the oven that u use so keep checking ur oven after 30 minutes to know the status of ur cake.
2.Baking soda can be substiuted by baking powder…if u use 1/2 tsp baking soda then it can be substituted by 1 tsp of baking powder.
3.If u have Vanilla essence as liquid..or vanilla extract as powder,,u can use 1tsp.Both gives the same flavour.
4.Certain oven has temprature in Celcius…and if in the recipe if u find farenhiet, all u have to do is just make the farenheit half..for example in the above recipe the temperature is mentioned as 325 F…and if ur oven has temperature in celcius then take 162.5 or 163 approximately.

Hi
I hv really become a fan of your recipie’s… If you dont mind can you specify how to bake the cake in microwave ? in my microwave i dont hv an option for preheat…
Looks really easy… My kind suggestion to you, Sadhana… If you could give us measurements of g & lbs in cups it would be of great help to the beginning bakers like me…
