Instructions

Ingredients 1:

Curry Leaves : 4 Strings

Pepper         : 1 Tbsp

Jeera           : 1 Tbsp

Coriander Seed ( Dhania) : 1 Tbsp

Uradh Dhal  (ullutham parupu)     : 1/2 Tbsp

Red Chilli        : 5-6 Nos.

Fenugreek seeds ( Vendhayam): 1/4 tbsp.

Ing 2:

Oil , Tamarind Pulp , Asafoetida, Salt

Method:

Fry the above ing1 in oil till golden brown .

keep aside and let it cool.

Grind it to a fine paste  ( add water as required)

Mix the fine paste with the tamarind pulp and allow it to boil until it becomes a thick gravy.

Add asafoetida and salt .

Serve this kuzhambu with hot rice and ghee.

Tip : Add 2 tbsp of Gingley oil at the end for flavor . (optional)

    I tried out this dish, it turned to be awsome. I was thinking that curry leaves is a supplementary ingredient. However this recipe proved me wrong. Also this dish can be stored for a long time, also can be useful while travelling.
