I love jellies, i never thought making jellies at home might be this much easier, with simple ingredients we can get jellies at home itself, the most important ingredient to prepare these jellies is Agar agar known as china grass, this is a vegetable subsitute of gelatin papers n this is an algae, can get very easily in Chinese stores…here we go…
This Vegetable kurma is from the Karaikudi style of preperation. My In laws side. they used to prepare such kuzhambu for chappathi and parotas. This vegetable kurma is spicy and tangy too. try it out.
My first success in getting a puffed puri. Have been trying different recipes heard from Mom, MIL, Paati and Internet but did not get satisfied with the results. Yesterday, to my surprise, I got nice puffed poori. I see only the tips for puri in our site forum but not a recipe. So thought of sharing the info here as it might be helpful for someone till we get one from Mullai or other experienced members. I was not prepared to post the recipe, so please bear with the photos. my camera is not good to shoot at night.
We used to do pakoda with onions r else with cashew nuts, i tried it out with leftover steamed maravallikizhangu(tapioca) n its ressembles very much as we do with onions…its was so crispy, spicy n very good snacks for evening, kids love deep fried items…here we go
