HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER BROCCOLI
Air fried broccoli is incredibly easy to make. You practically mix all the ingredients and set the air fryer to cook the broccoli. Cooking time is usually around 8 to 10 minutes depending on the size of the florets. Cook for 5 minutes, then give it a shake and cook again for additional 3 minutes and enjoy with your favorite meal!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE AIR FRYER BROCCOLI
All you need is few basic ingredients plus seasonings to make a batch of this delicious broccoli.
- Broccoli: Use the florets of the broccoli, so it cooks evenly. You can use the stems but florets tend to crisp up better so you may leave a small portion of the stem intact. Fresh Broccoli works, steamed broccoli tend to have better results.
- Olive Oil: Just a little of olive oil and that is all it takes. The one good thing about air fryer is you don’t need a ton of oil or cook or roast.
- Seasonings: Simple basics like Salt, Black pepper, garlic powder and a little of cayenne pepper works! You can always add in other seasonings as you wish to suit your taste.
WHAT TYPE OF BROCCOLI CAN I USE? FRESH/ STEAMED / FROZEN
Any one that is on hand works. I personally prefer fresh or lightly steamed broccoli which tends to taste better. Frozen broccoli works but not that pleasing and also won’t be crispy as fresh.
CAN I MAKE AIR FRYER BROCCOLI AHEAD OF TIME?
Yes, if you want to make air fryer broccoli ahead of time. You may either prep the florets, mix it with the ingredients and refrigerate for few hours and then pop it in the air fryer. Air fried broccoli can be refrigerated for a day or two, reheat for 2 to 3 minutes. But won’t have the crisp feel, keeping longer in the air fryer will bring in burn marks and turns it too dark and bitter. Best when enjoyed fresh !

Air Fryer Broccoli
Ingredients
- 3 cups Broccoli Florets
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne
Instructions
- Cut a large broccoli head, trim off the thick stems and separate the florets.
- Take a large bowl, add olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper powder & cayenned. Mix well to combine.
- Add the broccoli florets and toss to combine. Coat evenly on all sides.
- Pre heat Air Fryer to 350F for 3 minutes.
- Place the florets in the air fryer tray. Do not over crowd or tightly pack, leave little room between the florets. Make them batches if it doesn't fit.
- Set timer 350F for 5 minutes. When the timer goes off, shake through and cook again for another 3 minutes.
- Remove and serve immediately!
