this is a tasty kind of rice eaten along with tamatar ka cut.

| 2 cup | Rice[basmati] |
| 1 cup | Dal[masoor dal] |
| ½ tsp | G.g.paste |
| 2 T | Ghee (for toasting) |
| ½ cup | Onion (cut lengthwise thinly) |
| Salt (as per taste) |
Instructions
soak rice and dal together for one hour .take a vessel put ghee and saute the onions till light brown.add ginger garlic paste and saute for some more time. now add the soaked rice and dal. add 5 and a half cups of water to it . add salt as per taste. let the rice cook on medium flame . tasty ghee khichdi is ready to serve with tamatar ka cut.
Notes
For 1 cup of basmati rice put one and half cup of water alone. for the dal just double the water. Massor dal[red dal].
